If you need care in the next day or two
- Call the care line. Say when care has to start and what the person needs help with. Urgent starts are handled first.
- Have the discharge papers nearby. Medication lists, follow-up appointments and activity limits shape the care plan. A photo of them is enough.
- Note the routines that matter. Wake time, meals, favorite chair, the dog's schedule. The first visit goes better when the caregiver knows these.
